GRP’s First Drop-Off

Together as a family with Gemma in our hearts, we packed up 10 Hope Kits, 5 Compassion Kits and 3 Brave Bundles Friday, March 7th and headed to Phoenix Children’s Hospital to deliver our first round of Gemma’s Relief Project care kits.

While we were there, Ricky, the girls and I were able to personally deliver two of the Hope Kits to families whose children are currently on ECMO. It was a gift to get to meet these parents, to hear about their children, to pray for them and to love them in this season of trial.

Please pray for “D” a three-year old boy who has been on ECMO for several weeks. His parents asked that we pray for him to come off ECMO soon. Another boy, “J”, is three months old. He was very ill, but has responded well to ECMO treatment. Please be praying for his mother as she juggles a lot of responsibilities while J is in the hospital. Another family received a Hope Kit, though we were not able to speak with them as they only spoke Chinese. Please pray for their young daughter who is receiving ECMO care and for them as they navigate language barriers in the midst of this trial.

We are so grateful to those of you who have financially and prayerfully come alongside Gemma’s Relief Project to bring hope, bravery and compassion to these families. This delivery is a direct impact of your generosity and care. We could not do this without you.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.
