Compassion Kits

Families with children on ECMO face their worst fears, and sometimes these fears become their lived reality. Pediatric survival rates for ECMO patients range between 50-60%. We want to be there for the loved ones of children who fall on the other side of this.

Compassion Kits exist to make sure caregivers whose child passes away on ECMO leave the hospital with the resources they need to walk the long, and often lonely road of grief ahead.

Gemma’s Relief Project aims to provide 25 Compassion Kits annually to make sure every parent whose child passes away leaves with a kit in hand.

Each Comfort Kit costs $99 USD.

Compassion Kits are gifted in memory of Gemma Rose. Pfisterer, born August 16, 2024 to parents Ricky and Chenea’. Gemma received life-support from ECMO during her battle against viral and bacterial infections. She passed away August 26, 2024
