Hope Kits

Parents and caregivers of children who are placed on ECMO often arrive at the hospital in emergency situations. This means they are living in their greatest nightmare, and they are in for a long road towards recovery. Though the hospital provides some toiletries, we want to make sure that these parents are set up well to journey this hard road.

Imagine arriving at a hospital to hear your child needs life-sustaining support, and then realizing you have to leave to pick up a pillow. Let’s fill the gaps for these caregivers so they don’t have to make a difficult choice like that in the beginning days of care.

Hope Kits are filled with practical necessities to aid parents sleep, manage hospital living, and engage their children. These items can include pillows, blankets, a book to read themselves or aloud to their children, headphones, earplugs, feminine products, etc.

Gemma’s Relief Project has the goal to provide 60 Hope Kits annually in order to gift each child’s parents with a Hope Kit.

$199 USD.

Hope Kits are gifted in memory of Hope Zion Yates, born asleep December 21, 2022, to parents Victor and Molly, who supported Gemma’s family with care packages during & after her hospital stay. We are forever grateful for their love and care for Hope and Gemma.
